Investigator Initiated Studies

ABBOTT Established Pharmaceuticals, proudly supports Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS) that contribute to scientific advancement and improved patient care. Through IGate, our Global IIS submission portal, investigators can submit proposals for independent research aligned with our therapeutic focus areas.
All accepted studies are governed by a formal written agreement to ensure transparency, ethical conduct, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This process safeguards the integrity of the research and reflects our shared commitment to the highest standards in healthcare.
Under the global IIS framework, ABBOTT identifies specific areas of research interest to guide and prioritize support for impactful studies.

Helping people adhere to their treatment

Medicines keep you healthy only if you take them. That’s a simple truth. Still, the reality is that many people don’t. Nearly half the people don’t take their medicines as prescribed, and one-third never fill their prescriptions. Globally, this is a massive medical challenge that keeps people from living their healthiest lives.*

And that’s why we developed a:care. In creating a:care, we worked with the brightest brains in behavioral science, a specialized discipline that helps us understand why people think and do what they do. With their counsel and using the power of digital health, we’ve developed a pioneering program that focuses on education, insights, and coaching to support healthcare professionals and help people better adhere to their treatment so that they can live healthier.
