This vaccine is designed to help protect against influenza by stimulating the body’s immune system to produce antibodies. It contains inactivated components of influenza virus strains recommended for the relevant flu season. The vaccine is administered as a single dose in most cases, with a second dose recommended for certain children under 9 years of age who have not previously been vaccinated.

This medicine works by helping the body develop immunity to four specific strains of the influenza virus. It does this by introducing inactivated virus particles that trigger the production of protective antibodies. These antibodies help neutralize the virus if the person is exposed to it later.
